We would be delighted to have you join us on optional side adventures to two additional countries, Monaco & Italy. Our first optional takes us to Monaco, you can witness the changing of the guard at the Prince’s Royal Palace, see the world-famous casino, and stop in the charming seaside town of Eze, France. The other optional, Sanremo, Italy, is a wonderful coastal city with fabulous open air and leather markets in an easily walkable old town. When in this part of the world we love these two optionals.

London Pub Crawl 2019

Come Play with Us in one of Europe’s oldest cities

Join us as we visit the best that England has to offer. Our tour visits historic and exciting London. The names are so familiar to us all, historic Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Parliament, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, the British Museum, and of course the many, many pubs of London.

While in London we will be taking a Fuller’s Brewery tour with a tasting followed by a walk along the Thames to enjoy the various local pubs in the Hammersmith area. During one of our walking tours we will cross Tower Bridge to visit the Borough Market and the many pubs surrounding this iconic area of London.

LONDON EXTENSION – LONDON PUB CRAWL 2019

Our customers have spoken for our London Pub Crawl trip and it became clear that the way to go was to add an extension and just stay in London for 2 extra days (at the same hotel) before returning home. This great city has so much history that we will be offering a 2 day extension that will include a trip to Windsor Castle and Hampton Court.

Bella Sicily

Paris for Bastille Day

Our trip coincides with Bastille Day complete with fireworks and the parade down the Champs Elysees.

We then move on by high speed ferry to Santorini, which many believe to be the most beautiful of the Greek islands. The harbor at Fira was created when a volcano erupted and left a caldera that is a natural port and offers views that are nothing short of spectacular. Edible Italy – The Incredible South – Week 1

Come Play with Us from coast to coast plus the Amalfitana, Capri, and Napoli

Over the years many of you have asked about a tour to the gastronomy of southern Italy. We have now got it done and we are ready to go. This tour begins in Matera, ends in Napoli, and provides views of some of the most beautiful scenery (The Amalfi Coast and Capri) in the world. The area between the coasts simply has the finest food that Italy has to offer.

We begin in historic and beautiful Matera were we are immediately immersed in the food and wine culture of the region.These wines are simply fabulous and mostly unknown here in the United States. The olive oil produced here is the best in the world.

Our tour of Puglia continues to Locorotondo and Alberobello with amazing sights and fabulous tastings. The olive oil from the region around Bari and Trani has been prized since the days of the Roman Empire. We at Mike’s Guiding Light get our oil here. We then head across the Apennine Mountains with some fabulous views, stopping at Vannulo to visit the buffalo and taste the best mozzarella ever. We then stop at a boutique family run winery for a tasting before entering the Costiera Amalfitana and arriving at our hotel in Minori. The scenery is mind boggling as we visit Positano, then head by boat to Amalfi, before heading up the mountain to Ravello.

Leaving the Amalfitana is always difficult but, less so when you depart on a private charter boat for Capri. The Isle of Capri is as beautiful as the songs lead us to believe with time to take in the Blue Grotto, dawdle over lunch or just soak it all in.

We then board the ferry to Napoli where we walk to our hotel overlooking the Bay of Naples. We have built in a guided tour of Napoli and left time to visit the many museums or just enjoy the views with the world’s best pizza and some local wine.

RHINE RIVER CRUISE

We will be cruising through the heart of Europe as we travel the Rhine River on a luxurious river boat touring the entire valley from Switzerland, through France, Germany, and Holland – the Castles on the Rhine are magnificent and autumn is the best touring time.

We depart JFK on October 30 and return on November 7, 2019. Our flight takes us from JFK into Switzerland, where we will tour the city and board our luxury river cruise boat for a 7 night cruise on the Rhine River. Each of our cabins has private bath/shower, French Balcony, and all meals aboard are included.

This is river cruising at its very best – the scenery is very special, the culture of this historic area is incredibly interesting, and the people are wonderfully warm and friendly.
